Before Receiving Vollure Injections

Dr. Karam suggests avoiding the sun as well as excessive alcoholic drinks before treatment in order to minimize the risk of bruising and swelling. It’s also important to let the doctor know if you’re taking any blood thinners or aspirin.

Details of the Procedure

After the treatment area is thoroughly sanitized, the doctor will use a fine-gauge needle to perform your Vollure injections, the number of which will vary from patient to patient but will be customized to your needs and goals. Your provider will then gently massage the filler so that it is evenly distributed.

The total treatment time is roughly 15 minutes, so you can come into our San Diego offices over your lunch break!

After Your Treatment

There are generally no side effects from Vollure, however, you are encouraged to refrain from strenuous exercise for a day or so after the procedure. If you do experience any redness or swelling, these symptoms will most likely be short-lived and will dissipate within the day.
